No, that's real. I mean, luckily you don't have to do anything real invasive. Like, I get why people are twitchy about blood, but if you can have them spit into a clean flask, that'll give us more than enough to work with.
I mean, it's kind of gross, but as far as I know "spit magic" isn't a thing.
More's better, but most people can only produce so much at a time, even when they're sick. I'll work with what I've got.
And you're probably on this already, but try to make sure everyone involved washes their hands often. Just regular soap should be fine, but I don't want to accidentally give the entire Inquisition the flu.
That's great. I mean, you shouldn't feel too bad; it took my world a long time to figure out germs too, and we didn't have magic as a secondary option. For a long time people thought sickness was caused by, like, "bad air."
I mean, on the other hand, I guess we don't have magical diseases, either. Speaking of, I hope Church's burns are OK?
[She still feels bad about that, even knowing it wasn't her fault.]
Yes. Though it is so frustrating as a healer to not know what is wrong, or how to fix it. I am sure you have similar feelings while doing research here.
Totally, yeah. It's like, double frustration because I don't know if I'd be able to figure it out more if I had more equipment. Maybe not? Magic works with different rules than the ones I know. Or on the other hand, maybe I could do a lot more to help.

[ It had been such an upsetting situation, but she doesn't blame Church or Cosima for something foreign that affected them as it did. ]
I hope you were not burned in your pursuits as well?

It wasn't an experience I hope to repeat, but I'm glad most everyone came out alright. At least in the end.
[It's a happier ending than most outbreaks have, though Christine probably doesn't need Cosima to tell her that.]

[ It's easy to cast the blame on herself when a patient dies. She could have done more and they would have lived; that sort of thing. ]
It is funny sometimes, to think of how we come from different worlds and yet face these same issues.

To be honest, if a bunch of people from another world showed up in mine, I'm not sure how well that'd get handled.

Yes, people are truly not so different, except perhaps for the horns.
Mm, especially if we fell in and still had our magic abilities. I cannot see that going well.
